Privacy & terms.
Two short documents covering what we do with your data and what we promise each other when you hire us. If anything below is unclear, email info@yourmarketingdesk.com.
Privacy Policy
Your Marketing Desk ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it. We collect as little as possible and never sell it to anyone.
What we collect
Three categories:
- Information you give us — name, email, phone, business name, and details you submit through the consultation-request form or in correspondence with us.
- Marketing-account data — once you grant read-only access to the relevant marketing accounts (ad platforms, analytics, CRM, and similar), we access campaign performance, spend, traffic, conversion, and customer data for the purpose of providing our service.
- Site analytics — anonymous usage data (pages visited, referrer) collected via a privacy-respecting analytics tool. No third-party cookies, no advertising trackers, no fingerprinting.
Why we collect it
- To respond to consultation requests and follow up with you.
- To run, optimize, and report on your marketing campaigns and projects (when you've hired us).
- To reconcile marketing spend with conversion outcomes from your analytics and CRM.
- To improve our website and email follow-up.
Who else sees it
Your data is shared only with the service providers required to operate our business — ad platforms (e.g. Google, Meta), analytics providers, your CRM provider, and our email and storage providers. All are bound by their own contractual confidentiality obligations. We never sell or rent your data.
How long we keep it
Consultation-request form submissions: 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Active-client data: for the duration of the engagement plus 12 months for reference. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to: show you what we have on file, correct inaccuracies, delete it, or stop using it. Email info@yourmarketingdesk.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Terms of Service
When you hire Your Marketing Desk for marketing services, these are the terms of the relationship. We've tried to write them the way a reasonable person would understand them.
What we do
We provide marketing services across paid search, paid social, SEO, generative engine optimization, web design and conversion-rate optimization, lifecycle/email/SMS, and performance creative — scoped to the engagement letter we send you before starting. Typical work includes campaign management, conversion tracking, website builds, creative production, and monthly reporting tied to the outcomes that matter for your business.
What you do
- Grant us the access required to do the work — manager access to ad accounts, read/write to analytics and the CRM as scoped, and edit access to any sites or assets we're working on.
- Pay the monthly retainer in advance, on the first business day of the month. Project fees are billed against the schedule in the engagement letter.
- Fund media spend directly with the platforms. We never bill you for media; the platforms bill you on the card on file.
- Tell us promptly if anything material changes — service area, capacity, pricing, holidays, brand direction.
Ownership
You own your marketing accounts and assets at all times. You own the campaigns, the historical data, the websites we build, the creative we produce, and the conversion tracking. We're a manager and a producer, never an owner. If you leave, you take everything.
Cancellation
Month-to-month. Either party can end the engagement with 30 days written notice. There are no early-termination fees and no contract minimums. Upon termination, we remove our manager access and hand off any documentation you need to continue running the account or transition to another provider.
Confidentiality
We treat your business data — performance numbers, customer counts, revenue, CRM contents — as confidential. We don't share it with other clients, use it in marketing materials without your written permission, or discuss it outside the engagement team.
Market exclusivity
We will not take on a direct competitor in your defined service area while you are an active client. "Defined service area" means the geographic radius listed in your engagement letter. If you cease being a client, the exclusivity ends.
What we don't promise
We can't guarantee a specific cost-per-acquisition, a specific volume of conversions, or a specific return on ad spend. Marketing outcomes are influenced by your market, your operations, your conversion rates, seasonality, and platform algorithmic changes — many of which are outside our control. What we promise is that the work is honest, the reporting is real, and if we can't move the numbers, we will tell you straight.
Limitation of liability
Our total liability under this engagement is limited to the management fees you've paid us in the preceding three months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Questions about either of these?
Email info@yourmarketingdesk.com with subject line "Privacy" or "Terms" and we'll route it to the right person. We'd rather answer a small question now than have a misunderstanding later.
